Welcome to County Waterford VEC |
|||||||||
|
The Vocational Education Committee for County Waterford is the largest education provider in the county. Some 4,000 learners will participate in our courses and programmes this year. Our 300 teachers, tutors and support staff make sure that opportunities for learning help learners reach their personal goals. Often awards such as Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate, FETAC Level 1-5, ECDL, IATI, ITEC are given. Many learners enjoy the experience so much that they come back again. As well as our schools in Kilmacthomas, Dungarvan and Ring the Committee has Youthreach, Basic Education, Community Education, Vocational Training Opportunities and Back to Education provision in centres in Lismore, Tramore, Kilmacthomas and Dungarvan. There are services in Head Office providing PLC and third level grants, a youth office also providing grants, and the school completion programme. The website provides a first point of contact for learners and helps direct them to the most suitable programme. Our Adult Guidance Counsellor will make sure VEC and other learning opportunities are explained to adults returning to learning. I invite you to explore our website which details the activities and services available throughout our VEC. |
