Adult Guidance Service
The Adult Guidance Service can help you with your course choice and also provide information on courses outside of the VEC including third level.

PLC & Third Level Grant Applications
Adults may avail of means tested Post-Leaving Certificate and Third Level Grant Applications.

Back to Education Allowance
Students who have secured a PLC or a Third Level place and have been in receipt of a social welfare payment for at least 6 months for plc and 12 months for third level may apply for the Back to Education Allowance. Participants in this scheme receive a standard rate of payment which is not means-tested. This is a Social Welfare Scheme and applicants deal directly with the Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs.
