Help And Support For Students

Introduction to Adult and Further Education Services
Welcome to the Co Waterford V.E.C Adult and Continuing Education Service. The aim of this service is to provide education and training to adults and early school leavers. Through its schools and centres, every effort is made to respond to the needs of adults and the business community in Co. Waterford.

For people who are dependent on Social Welfare payments as their main source of income, a range of supports are available for many of the courses provided by the service. The information covers, part-time courses, full-time programmes and the supports available to adults returning to education. Our Adult Guidance Service is available to help you with your course choice, they can also advise you on progression from VEC courses to third level education.

While every effort is made to respond effectively to the educational needs of adults, nevertheless, we are open to suggestions and proposals either from individuals or specific interest groups. If you have any proposals, we would be delighted to hear from you.
